
I’ve always struggled with dry skin, but in the last year especially, I’ve been having more trouble getting away with matte finishes. I used to be able to use matte concealers and skip setting powder. But now, even if it looks fine, matte concealers dry my skin out if I wear them for two or more days in a row. That led me to try more hydrating concealers, like the Too Faced Ethereal Light Illuminating Smoothing Concealer.

**Too Faced Ethereal Light Illuminating Concealer, $29.00

The downside of hydrating concealers is that they typically have less coverage than matte concealers. If you have dark under eyes like I do, the Too Faced Ethereal Light Concealer is medium coverage (that’s what the brand claims). The brand also claims a natural finish, but I think it is more radiant. For reference, it is less radiant than the Armani Luminous Silk Concealer, so it does look more smoothing than that concealer. When I wear this concealer, it gives me coverage but also looks the same in finish as my moisturized skin. I use heavy oil-based moisturizers, so that is something to keep in mind.
