I thought it would be nice to do a repeat of 2023 and 2024’s recap of the most-viewed posts on my website. I find it interesting to see what was popular on my website, even if I didn’t publish that post in 2025. So, I’ll share any updated thoughts on the products from my top 10 most-viewed blog posts of 2025. To view the original post/review I am referencing, click on the numbered title.

After many years of testing different powders for my dry eczema-prone skin, NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder remains my favorite. 2. Best Hydrating Concealers for My Dry Skin – Posted June 14, 2025

The Lancome Care and Glow Serum Concealer is my go-to pick when I am at my driest, or I’m looking for comfort over coverage. My go-to for a non-drying concealer (but without added hydration) that gives me medium coverage is the Estee Lauder Futurist Soft Touch Brightening Skincealer. The Estee Lauder Skincealer may build to full coverage for some people, but on me, it creases too badly when built up. If you’re curious, my other favorite concealers that I turn to for coverage but are absolutely not hydrating for my dry, eczema-prone skin are the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer and the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer (only in summer). 3. What’s Old at the Drugstore (L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks – Worth It, Worth It Medium, Worth It Intense) – Posted September 21, 2024

I started to think that it wasn’t bothering me, but it turned out that the fragrance in these lipsticks was triggering my allergies. I still think the formula is great, but I have given up on them due to the scent.

4.Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks (rum raisin, raisin rage, desert escape) – Posted on April 28, 2021

In 2025, this post was not my number 1 most-viewed post for the first time, which was interesting. The Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick line is still a solid choice at the drugstore, especially if you need a fragrance-free option. The formula does have a lanolin ingredient (C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters), so keep that in mind if you are allergic to lanolin. I’m personally a fan of lipsticks that are a little thicker in texture (e.g., Maybelline Color Sensational or L’oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks if the scent were better). The Maybelline and L’oreal lipsticks also contain lanolin.

5. MAC MACximal Sleek Satin Lipsticks – Creme In Your Coffee And Paramount (Swatches) – Posted on October 23, 2024

I think this is a great formula, and I love the color options. Unfortunately for me, the formula tends to move into the corners of my mouth, so I end up not using them. They have excellent pigment, don’t accentuate lip lines, and don’t feather into the fine lines around my top lip. Since I haven’t seen any other complaints about it moving around, I’d still check out this formula, since it doesn’t seem to be a common problem.

6. L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation Review (W7, Reformulated 2023 Version) – Posted on March 25, 2023

The L’Oreal True Match wears better when I set it with powder, but because it feels so dry in cold weather, I prefer to use it only in the summer. In the summer, I can set the L’Oreal with powder, and it feels lightweight, and I don’t notice a dry feeling. It is also much more transfer-resistant than my go-to NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, which I appreciate especially in the summer heat. I do still think that other foundations are more forgiving to my smile lines and pores, but it just isn’t a big deal unless I’m up close in the mirror, being nitpicky. Despite my personal issues with it, this is a beautiful, satin/natural-finish foundation with medium coverage. I don’t think everyone will have these same issues with the formula since it performs better for me in the summer when my skin isn’t as dry.

7. So, Dior Reformulated My Go-To Concealer (Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer 4WO New Formula Review and Swatch) – Posted on March 4, 2023

The Dior Skin Correct Concealer remains a very popular concealer despite the 2023 reformulation that added fragrance to the formula. This still performs well for me, but I can’t get past the fragrance. I’m either nervous it will irritate my skin, so I don’t wear it, or I wear it and notice the smell off and on all day. It has never caused any adverse reaction, but I got tired of thinking about it.

8. Natasha Denona Bloom Eyeshadow Palette Swatches – Posted on March 2, 2025

If you read my 2025 favorites post, you know the Natasha Denona Bloom Eyeshadow Palette was in heavy rotation. The colors in this palette work well for my olive undertone skin and depth (NARS Tahoe/Estee Lauder 4W4). I haven’t found a combination from this palette that I don’t like. I think it is easy to work with, doesn’t have much fallout, and wears well. I get the best results when I pair it with the Mac Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base Primer rather than other eye primers. So, that may be something to keep in mind.

9. Patrick Ta Creme and Powder Blush Duo – Oh She’s Different, She’s Baked (Swatches) – Posted February 5, 2025

I do like the Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Creme and Powder Blush Duos, but not enough to repurchase them. I enjoyed finding a creme blush formula I liked using, but I’m still a powder blush lover. I just find powder easier and more enjoyable to use. The powder formula in this duo is ok, but it is not as blendable as I would like. I mainly like the powder for the finish and the shades. There are many complaints online about Patrick Ta products going bad quickly. I had no issues with either shade I purchased.

10. Morphe Makeup Brushes Reimagined (Review and Comparisons) – Posted on June 1, 2025

While the Morphe Brushes Reimagined don’t outperform my more expensive brushes, I do think they are good brushes. They have, however, started to stand out to me compared to more affordable brands. After revisiting Sonia Kashuk and EcoTools brushes lately, I can say that Morphe brushes are better constructed. Especially when it comes to shaping the bristles and ensuring quality control from brush to brush. Morphe is more consistent in shape when you purchase two of the same brush, for example. I also haven’t noticed any bristles being too long, unlike what I’ve experienced with Eco Tools and Sonia Kashuk lately. That increased attention to detail and quality control might make these Morphe Brushes a better choice than Sonia Kashuk and Eco Tools if they offer shapes that interest you. I’ve been using and washing these for about 8 months now, and they are holding up well and keeping their shape.
