Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Starts Sunday (Feat. Smashbox x Becca Champagne Pop Swatch)

The sale runs from August 28 to September 17, 2022. If you are a regular Ulta shopper then you likely already knew about this. For those of you not familiar with this sale, during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, you can get select high-end beauty products for 50% off. It can be a great time to restock your staple products or maybe try something new. Each day there are different deals happening for that day only (ending at 11:59 pm CT). Certain deals are online only so make sure to pay attention if you prefer to shop in-store. If you have the ability to purchase in-store, that is really the best way to do it. Then you can just buy the one item you want on the day it is available and you can avoid the temptation to add things to your cart to get free shipping. The free shipping threshold for Ulta online is $35, but if you are a diamond or platinum Ultamate Rewards member you will qualify for free shipping on any of the beauty steals.

  • 50% off Select Black Owned Products $5.00 – $42.50, regular price $10.00 – $85.00 (online only): Keys Soulcare jumps out at me here. I haven’t tried anything from the brand yet. I have, however, checked it out in-store and the textures of the moisturizers have me curious, and the packaging is very nice.

  • Smashbox x Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter $20.00, regular price $40.00: Becca has gone out of business but Smashbox is now selling this formula of highlighters under the branding Smashbox ❤️ Becca. I used to own the shade Champagne Pop, so I have included that image for you below. There are 5 shades available from lightest to darkest they are: opal, moonstone, champagne pop, rose quartz, and chocolate geode.

  • Lancome Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara $13.50, regular $27.00: This is a purchase I’m considering. I currently have and like both the Lancome Definicils and the Lash Idole mascaras, so I have been thinking about trying this one too. I’m still not sure that I’ll actually buy it because I have a tube of MAC Gigablack Lash to open next.

  • Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation SPF 45 $25.00, regular price $50.00: I’ve never tried this formula from Estee Lauder but I happen to think the brand does a great job with their complexion products. This is one of my friend Lili’s top foundations at the moment. She also has dry skin like me, so you can check her out by clicking here if you want to know about her experience with the foundation.

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion $12.50, regular price $25.00: This has become my go-to eyeshadow primer since Too Faced reformulated and added fragrance to their Shadow Insurance formula. In comparison to the old Too Faced formula, the Urban Decay Primer Potion is easier to blend mattes over but it doesn’t intensify color as much.

  • Mented Lip Liner and Lip Gloss $6.00 – $7.50, regular price $12.00 – $15.00: Lip liners have become crucial for me and Mented is known for having amazing shades for darker skin tones, so this has piqued my interest.

  • IT Brushes for Ulta (Brush Sets excluding bamboo set and holiday) $9.75 – $32.50, regular price $19.50 – $65.00: I wouldn’t normally recommend brush sets, because at least for me, there are always brushes I end up not liking or having a use for. However, I do think these sets have a pretty decent assortment of brushes. I do want to point out that they typically have the paintbrush style of foundation brush rather than a dense buffing type of brush, so that is something to keep in mind. The quality is nice on IT Cosmetics brushes and to max out at $32.50 for a set in this sale is a good price especially when you consider that they all come with a case.

  • MAC Blushes $14.00 – $16.50, regular price $28.00 – $33.00: I have a ton of MAC blush swatches all over the site and I’ve written a full review of the Glow Play Blush Formula. All of the shades that I have linked for you below are available at Ulta, but some of the other shades I have on my site may have been discontinued or may only be available at other retailers. MAC blush still ranks as my favorite blush brand, particularly the matte (e.g desert rose, raizin), sheertone shimmer (e.g. peachtwist), and sheertone (e.g. gingerly) formulas. I do think the Glow Play formula is beautiful but it just isn’t my favorite texture to work with. The mineralize formula (e.g. love joy) is nice, but on my dry skin, it doesn’t look quite as nice as their other formulas.

      1. I use shade 5 (warm black brown). I prefer black-brown brow pencils over just black to help keep it looking softer. I also prefer for it to be a neutral shade, but undertone doesn’t usually matter to me as much if it’s at least the right depth and not too far on the side of warm or cool. But if it’s too dark, it’s too easy for me to over do it and create intense brows since mine are naturally on the medium/thick side and just need a little filling in.

        1. Thanks. I was back and forth between 4.5 and 5 when I looked at them in the past. I just finished my Smashbox brow pencil so I’m trying to decide if I should just repurchase that or give Benefit a shot.
