I first talked about this blush back in July 2020 and I finally decided it was time to give it a try for myself. There are only 3 shades in the Trublend So Flushed Line** and I purchased 360 sweet seduction. There is a lighter shade called 320 love me as well as a darker, more vibrant shade called 345 hot and frenzy. Update, January 25, 2022: Covergirl has added 2 more shades, coral crush and temptation.
I’m so glad I decided to give this a try because I love it just as much as the discontinued baked version of the Trublend blushes. The baked version was offered back when Covergirl was still owned by P&G and they weren’t cruelty free. If you don’t know, Covergirl is now owned by Coty and went cruelty free back in 2018.
It isn’t dusty or messy when I dip my brush in the pan and it blends easily. It has a beautiful satin finish and it doesn’t accentuate any texture. The name suggests high pigment and while I do think this is nicely pigmented, I don’t think this particular shade is over the top. It does have enough pigment that I do not need to build it up, but I definitely don’t need to be careful. I did build it up just to see how the formula would react. It builds well on itself without going patchy.
I have heard mixed reviews about this range depending on the shade reviewed, which is unfortunate. I hope the brand can address the inconsistencies and maybe pave the way for an expanded shade range in the future. I know the drugstore isn’t known for having a wide range for color cosmetics, but one can hope.
Update, January 25, 2022: The Covergirl Trublend So Flushed line now comes in 5 shades**. 300 Coral Crush, 320 Love Me, 345 Hot and Frenzy, 360 Sweet Seduction, and 380 Temptation.
As usual, if you are interested in this product I’d suggest Walmart or Target where it is between $7.41 and $7.99 respectively. If you prefer shopping at Ulta, CVS, or Walgreens you will find this line there, but it is $10.99.
