Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick (Golden Honey and Golden Swatches)

The Macy’s 10 Days of Glam continues today with the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick** on sale for $23.50. This foundation has a beautiful natural satin finish on my dry skin type. I do use heavy oil-based moisturizers, so that may make a difference. It has medium coverage that I’d say is slightly buildable to full. I do have some hyper-pigmentation and acne scars that it doesn’t completely cover. I don’t have an issue with that, but I wanted to mention it since the brand claims it has medium to full coverage.

If you haven’t noticed yet, I am always in between two shades in most foundations, this one being no different. Shade golden honey (W-068/previously 5.75)** is a better undertone match for me, but once spring and summer hit, it can be too light. Shade golden (W-074/previously 6)** is a little orange for me, but once I tan in the summer, it works much better for me than golden honey.

In my experience, this foundation doesn’t dry down on its own. If you don’t like for your face to feel tacky, it benefits from being set with a powder. I would recommend applying this with a rounded buffing brush. The shape and densely packed bristles help the formula move smoothly across the skin.
