I originally reviewed the Chanel Rouge Coco Bloom formula back in April 2021 when it was new to the market. I won’t rehash the entire review, so if you want the nitty-gritty, you can read that by clicking here. Long story short: I still think that this is a comfortable formula with nice pigmentation and a beautiful shine but it has poor longevity and doesn’t wear away evenly.

As I mentioned in my original review, Chanel claims that the Rouge Coco Bloom formula is long-wearing, but I just can’t agree with them. For $42.00 this should just work as promised. However, even with MAC’s prep and prime lip (which typically helps me with wear time), I only get a slightly better result.

I can say that since winter has set in, the lasting time is better and it doesn’t wear off as unevenly. The formula still feels comfortable and it is more hydrating to me during these colder winter days. The high shine finish still doesn’t last for very long, but overall the wear time is closer to 3 hours rather than the hour and a half or so I was getting in warmer weather. This gives me the impression that this could be a good product for people with very dry lips. The performance is just better for me in the winter over the warmer seasons. I still wouldn’t personally recommend it, but it is a point to consider if you are interested in this line.
