Update May 18, 2025: Sephora has discontinued the Microsmooth Multi-Tasking Baked Face Palettes and replaced them with the new Sephora Collection Colorful Face Bronzer, Blush, & Highlighter Palettes. The new palettes are offered in 3 versions: 01 Light to Medium, 02 Medium to Tan, and 03 Tan to Deep. I swatched the two darkest palettes (02 Medium to Tan and 03 Tan to Deep) in store today, so I wanted to share that picture for anyone interested.

Brand new to the Sephora Collection lineup, this face palette in their Microsmooth formula also comes in a lighter version called Enchant. Their Microsmooth face powder has been raved about for years so I had high expectations for this release. I liked the color selection of the darker palette (Captivate) and I actually thought that I’d be able to use every shade. I don’t have that thought often when it comes to face palettes.

Spoiler alert, I’m really impressed with this palette. Sephora claims that these powders melt into skin and I find that to be 100% true. After applying the bronzer, highlight, and blush together, I can’t tell where one ends and another begins. Not only do they blend together seamlessly, but they also blend into foundation (even if not set with powder) as if they were a cream product. There are no noticeable shimmer particles in the highlight and shimmer blush once blended on the face. As the highlighter is layered it starts to look glossy and slightly wet. Neither the highlight nor the shimmer blush make my texture look bad. While the bronzer and matte blush do appear to have a slight sheen to them in the pan, they are matte when applied.
Overall, this palette is a little dark for me, so I do have to be careful. All four of these powders are very pigmented products, so I think it will work even better and more easily for those darker than me (Estee Lauder 4W4/MAC C8).
The bronzer is neutral but does lean a touch warm and it is darker when applied than it looks in the pan. If you don’t care for red toned bronzers, then this one should work nicely. I only had to dip into the blushes once per cheek and I had all the blush I needed. A lot of highlighter picks up easily onto a brush, but it didn’t look overdone once applied. As I mentioned, I didn’t notice any texture issues with the highlight but I do wonder if it would accentuate more texture on a skin tone deeper than mine. I wonder that because, in theory, this shade should appear lighter and provide more of a highlight on deeper skin tones.

This product definitely has me excited about the Sephora Collection again. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed their Colorful Blush and their Golden Hour highlighter in the past.
Are there any other Sephora Collection products I need to check out?

I figured I had close enough to these shades in my Becca x Malika Bronze, Blush, and Glow palette. I guess I was wrong and now they are all sold out. Drat… 😦

Yea, unfortunately Sephora collection does change up their products a lot. They recently reformulated the microsmooth face powders though, so maybe these face palettes will be out again in that new formula. 🤞🏽
