Covergirl Clean Fresh Cream Blush (shade 370 Butterflies with swatch)

Covergirl Clean Fresh Cream Blush (370 Butterflies)

I’ll cut to the chase, I do not like this blush formula.  Not only is it difficult to get a smooth application, but the metallic finish of the shade I purchased (butterflies) accentuates texture.  I’ve used cream blushes before, but this is my first experience with a more liquid formula.  The consistency isn’t runny, it has enough thickness to it that it doesn’t run down your hand or anything like that.  I would imagine there is a learning curve, but I’ve given it enough chances to give up on that thought.

It seemed like regardless of application method this blush looks splotchy on my skin.  It works best when not a lot of product is used and it is only used in one light layer.  If I tried to add another layer it would pick up some of the pigment that was already on the skin, so it would look patchy.  Overall if you can manage one light layer it can be workable, but it goes patchy so easy, and then it is impossible to fix.

This formula was such a disappointment for me.  I do wonder if one of the other colors might have a better formula, but not enough to try again.  I am a long time fan of Covergirl blushes, so I really expected to have no issues.  I even love the cheekers blushes that are still only $3.94 at Walmart.  If you want to try Covergirl blushes I’d stick to their powder offerings.

If you are still interested in checking out this formula, they retail for $10.99 at Ulta and Amazon.
