At the end of November 2025, CoverGirl released the TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Blushes and Bronzers ($12.99). So far, they are getting a lot of buzz, and many people are comparing them to the Hourglass and Laura Geller powders. I understand the comparison, but baked powders have been a part of CoverGirl’s line before. In 2016, CoverGirl released baked blushes and bronzers under its Trublend line, so the brand is no stranger to baked formulas. This release is more of a reboot for them.

Their Trublend Blushes were a favorite of mine back then, and I am equally happy with the Trublend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous formula in 2025. Since these powders are swirled together in multiple tones, each compact will vary in shade. So keep in mind that if you buy these, yours may look different from what you see here or elsewhere online. These powders are pigmented, easy to blend, and smooth on the skin despite having a slight sheen. Neither of the shades I have (Strawberry Drizzle 420 and Caramel Truffle 320) has noticeable glitter particles, even under harsh overhead lighting. It is common for these types of powders to appear more glittery in the sunlight, though, so that remains to be seen in better weather.

I have a medium-dark skin tone (NARS Tahoe/Estee Lauder 4W4) with an olive undertone. So, keep that in mind as you consider how these shades look on me.

**CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Blush, $12.99

As of December 24, 2025, the shade Strawberry Drizzle is not listed on the Ulta website. At the time these were released, Ulta offered only 2 shades; now they have 3 of the 4, so hopefully Strawberry Drizzle will be added as well.

When applied to my face, Hourglass powders have more glow than the CoverGirl Trublend Skin Enhancer formula. In person, the Hourglass powders appear more blurred, but in photos, they show more texture. You’ll see what I mean in a picture of me wearing the Hourglass blushes further down.
Comparisons to Hourglass Amethyst Haze and Pat McGrath Lovestruck

I didn’t have shades quite like CoverGirl’s Strawberry Drizzle, so these were the closest I could find. CoverGirl describes Strawberry Drizzle as bright red with light red swirls. **Hourglass Amethyst Haze is from the Ambient Lighting Palette Fox (Holiday 2025). Although it is hard to see in these swatches, the CoverGirl Trublend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous formula has slightly more sheen than Hourglass when swatched. The Pat McGrath formula is completely matte. Despite the CoverGirl having some sheen, it does not make my texture look bad, and it is smoothing considering the finish. Although I do think Hourglass looks smoother, more blurred, and more natural in person, I still think this CoverGirl formula is beautiful.

**CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Bronzer, $12.99

The swatch of the CoverGirl Trublend Skin Enhancer Baked Bronzer in Caramel Truffle does make it seem like it wouldn’t work for me, but it does. CoverGirl describes Caramel truffle as a medium bronze with copper swirls. It is subtle, but I can see it, and as we get further into winter, I think it will show up even more. I think the next darkest shade (Sweet Espresso 330) would definitely be too dark for me, which I’m happy about. I like the bronzer even more than the blush in this formula, but I think that is mainly because I love the bronzer shade. They surprised me because I went into it thinking it wouldn’t even show up.
Comparison to Armani Luminous Silk Bronzer 110
The other glowy bronzer that I love right now is the Armani Luminous Silk Bronzer. Hopefully, it helps with a point of reference for the shade. CoverGirl looks much more glowy in the swatch, but it is not that intense when applied to the face.

**The CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Blush and **Bronzer are a great addition to the drugstore. The luminosity is there, but it doesn’t look unflattering. Just remember that any glow will likely accentuate texture more than a matte finish. They apply easily, though I do need to be careful with the blush shade because it is very pigmented. However, even if I apply too much, it is easy to soften and blend. They last all day without any fading. As usual with CoverGirl’s blush lineup, I wish they had more shades. But as far as the formula of Strawberry Drizzle and Caramel Truffle is concerned, I like them a lot. CoverGirl is a cruelty-free brand, and these powders are talc-free, clean, vegan & formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates & Mineral Oil.
