Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale (Fall 2024)

This year’s Fall 21 Days of Beauty starts today (August 30, 2024) and runs through September 19, 2024. If you are a regular Ulta shopper, you likely already know about this. For those of you not familiar with this sale, during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, you can get select high-end beauty products for 50% off. It can be a great time to restock your staple products or maybe try something new. Each day, different deals happen for that day only (ending at 11:59 pm CT). Certain deals are online only so be sure to pay attention if you prefer to shop in-store. If you can purchase in-store, that is really the best way to do it, in my opinion. Then, you can just buy the one item you want on the day it is available, and you can avoid the temptation to add things to your online cart that weren’t on your radar before. The free shipping threshold for Ulta online is $35, but in the past, diamond and platinum Ultamate Rewards members qualified for free shipping on any of the beauty steals.

I’m only talking about the deals on products I have experience with, but there are many more offers than I have here. So check the Ulta website to see everything.

Bobbi Brown Talc-Free Sand Pink and Gallery Blushes Swatches
  • Wednesday, September 4 – Bobbi Brown Powder Blush $18 (regular price $36): I’ve reviewed and swatched the shades Sand Pink and Gallery. Long story short, this is a nice talc-free blush formula with a good shade selection.

bareMinerals Bare Pro 16HR Powder Foundation in Medium 35 Warm Swatch
bareMinerals Bare Pro 16HR Powder Foundation in Medium 35 Warm
  • Friday, September 6 – bareMinerals BAREPRO Powder Foundation $21 (regular price $42): I’ve reviewed and swatched the shade Medium 35 Warm, but the shade Medium Deep 40 Warm is a better shade match for my NARS Tahoe skin tone. Medium 35 Warm is ok for a winter shade, but Medium Deep 40 Warm works for more of the year. Although it feels comfortable to wear, this formula looks too dry and textured on me. Despite this, I would recommend it for normal and oily skin types, but I will warn you, it is messy. There is a lot of powder kick-up, regardless of the kind of brush I use. There is less mess if you use the included sponge, but in my opinion, a brush gives a better finish. There are also a lot of reviews saying the powder is fragile and shatters easily, but I have not personally had that issue. I have traveled with this powder, but it was a road trip both times, so I’m not sure how it would go if you were flying and your luggage was thrown around.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation 5W1 Bronze
  • Saturday, September 7 – Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation $26.00 (regular price $52): I already have a full review and swatches of the shades 5W1 Bronze, 5W1.5 Cinnamon, and 5W2 Rich Caramel if you want the full rundown of this foundation from skin prep to removal. That review also has a picture of me wearing shade 4W4 Hazel, which became my preferred shade after the brand expanded its shade range some years back. This formula is still a beautiful matte medium (buildable to full) coverage foundation. My dry skin needs extra prep to wear it, but the longevity and transfer resistance is still unmatched.

Bobbi Brown Talc-Free Golden Natural Bronzer Swatch
  • Saturday, September 7 – Bobbi Brown Bronzer Powder $23.50 (regular price $47): As with the blushes from Bobbi Brown, I reviewed and swatched this in Golden Natural earlier this week. I like the bronzer formula a bit better than the blushes, but I feel the same overall. It’s a good talc-free bronzer option.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadow (Charged and Fazed Swatches)
Fazed (left) and Charged (right)
  • Sunday, September 8 – Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadows $11 (regular price $22): I have a review and swatches posted for shades Fazed (matte) and Charged (shimmer). Long story short, I think the matte formula is ok, but the shimmer didn’t perform well (hard to control pigment, messy application). I only tried these two shades, so other shades may perform better. $11 for a single shade is good, but I recommend waiting for a MAC or NARS sale. There are two caveats. One is that these are vegan, so if you need a vegan formula that may outweigh the fussy nature of the shimmer shade I tried. The other is that I typically prefer a hard-pressed, drier eyeshadow formula, which MAC is known for. If you don’t like MAC shadows, maybe check these Urban Decay ones out in-store before deciding. NARS is phasing out their single eyeshadows, so they are on sale on their website for $13.30. For reference, the NARS formula isn’t as dry as MAC, but not as “creamy” and loosely pressed as an ABH eye shadow.

MAC Studio Radiance Face and Body C5, Estee Lauder Double Wear Sheer 5W2, and Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer Medium Tan Swatches
Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer Medium Tan
  • Tuesday, September 10 – Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer $20.50 (regular price $41): It has been a while since I’ve used the Smashbox tinted moisturizer, but I reviewed the shade Medium Tan when I did a round-up of skin tints. Today’s sale also features the Smashbox blurring Foundation Brush ($19 sale price), my favorite foundation brush.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer 435 Bisque Warm (435W) Swatch Review
  • Thursday, September 12 – Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer $14.50 (regular price $29): I have a full review of this concealer coming soon which is now posted here. It’ll be posted before the day it goes on sale. If you want more information now, I included it in my concealer ranking.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Depends on Traffic, Ravenswood, Horchata, Liar Swatches
  • Sunday, September 15 – Urban Decay Vice Hydrating Lipstick $10.50 (regular price $21) in the shades Depends on Traffic (cream), Horchata (matte), Liar (cream), and Ravenswood (cream): I actually haven’t tried these lipsticks other than when I swatched them one day while I was in Ulta. I didn’t end up purchasing them because they didn’t have enough shine. I figured it was still helpful to share the swatches, in case anyone was curious.

Smashbox Cali Contour Medium-Dark (Deep) Palette swatches Medium dark skin
  • Tuesday, September 17—Smashbox Cali Contour Blush, Highlighter, and Face Palette $23 (regular price $46): I have a full review on the Medium/Dark shade of this palette. It also has a light/medium version if you have a lighter skin tone. This is a nice all-in-one face palette, but I think it is better suited to normal to oily skin types. It works much better in the summer when I am not as dry or wear a dewier finish foundation. The extra oil/moisture I have in summer or when wearing something more hydrating helps the powders melt into the skin better.

I hope this round-up was helpful if you had your eye on any of these products. As for me, I’ll at least get a couple of items. Benefit Roller Lash is my favorite mascara, but I’ve wanted to try the new Benefit Fanfest mascara. It will be on sale on Thursday, September 5, for $14.50. I have also wanted to try brow powder, and the ABH Brow Powder Duo will be $11.50 on Saturday, September 14. We’ll see if Ulta has any surprise deals that catch my eye this time.
