I stumbled on the 2025 Halloween Collection from Wet n Wild when I was in CVS last weekend. Well, I think Fantasy Makers is the branding that Wet n Wild uses for Halloween. If I’m mistaken, please let me know. I did check the batch code to make sure it was new, and it was manufactured 2 months and 21 days ago. So even if it is not a Halloween release, it is new to the market.

There were two different 10-pan eyeshadow palettes in CVS, the Poisoned Forest and the Queen of Brights. The palettes were more expensive than the permanent collection, $7.29 vs the $6.49 listed on the Wet n Wild website for the permanent collection. **The Queen of Brights Palette is $6.19 on the Wet n Wild website. I decided to buy Poisoned Forest. I just couldn’t see myself using the Queen of Brights enough to justify having it. But I did take pictures of it in the store so you can see what it looks like. I’m not sure if Wet n Wild typically releases its limited edition products at online retailers, but as of today, I couldn’t find these online anywhere. Not even on the CVS website, despite buying them in CVS.

As is sometimes the case with eyeshadows, these palettes do have a warning for some of the shades. Some of the pigments used in the eyeshadows can cause staining, so they are marked with an asterisk and a warning that they are for use on the face only.

Wet n Wild Poisoned Forest 10-pan Eyeshadow Palette Thoughts and Swatches

The Wet n Wild Poisoned Forest Eyeshadow Palette is in line with the quality of the Call Me Sunshine and My Lucky Charm Palettes from the brand that I reviewed recently. The pigmentation is excellent, and I think they are easy to use. The mattes in this palette are a little looser than in the Call Me Sunshine 10-pan. They aren’t too fussy, but I did need to tap my brush off with the darker browns, especially. The lightest matte brown was a good blending and transition shade for me. The green matte isn’t my favorite, it applied a little patchy as a crease color, but it may work better in the outer-v in a more concentrated application. I haven’t had a chance to use the two red matte shades yet, which both have the warning to only use them on the face.
The more neon green in the palette has more texture to it than the other shimmers, but it didn’t give me any trouble and smoothed out easily. The two darker green shimmers are more distinct on my eyes than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The darker green shimmer has a more obvious sparkle in it (than the lighter green above it), so it also has more shine than I expected. The pink shimmer is the most satin of the shimmers, but it still has some nice shine. I haven’t noticed much fallout from this palette so far, which is good. I haven’t used any of the shimmers with a brush yet, though, so that could change things. Overall, I’m happy with the palette. Hopefully, those last two shades that I haven’t used yet don’t disappoint.
Have you seen the Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Collection in store yet? What do you think of the collection?
Have a good weekend!

You are correct, Wet n Wild releases “Fantasy Makers” collections every year for Halloween. They usually have two palettes and coordinating products with two separate themes to create looks inspired by, for example, a vampire and a fairy. My daughter used to love to go and pick one up each year, all through high school. The palette you bought has beautiful colors. I’m glad Wet n Wild is still going strong, and staying affordable, especially when ELF has messed up, offending women with the new ad.

Thanks for letting me know! I can’t even remember what else was on display for the collection, should have thought to take a picture of the whole display. That would have probably explained it 😂. Yes, I’ve been impressed and enjoying getting back into the Wet n Wild brand, and they have always kept their prices low. Elf prices were creeping up, especially for the newer releases. That was disappointing to hear about the elf advertisement.

Seeing the fuchsia, dark green, and tone of yellow from Poisoned Forest brought back flashbacks of the Too Faced Gold Palette. It’s definitely not a dupe, but triggered a memory haha. As someone else said here, it’s nice to see there are affordable and great quality alternatives to ELF for those that are done with that brand.

I can definitely see the overlap with the Too Faced palette. I’ve always gotten along better with Wet n Wild products vs elf, especially eyeshadows. Although I’ve never tried the bite-sized eyeshadows everyone loves.
