The sale runs from August 28 to September 17, 2022. If you are a regular Ulta shopper then you likely already knew about this. For those of you not familiar with this sale, during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, you can get select high-end beauty products for 50% off. It can be a great time to restock your staple products or maybe try something new. Each day there are different deals happening for that day only (ending at 11:59 pm CT). Certain deals are online only so make sure to pay attention if you prefer to shop in-store. If you have the ability to purchase in-store, that is really the best way to do it. Then you can just buy the one item you want on the day it is available and you can avoid the temptation to add things to your cart to get free shipping. The free shipping threshold for Ulta online is $35, but if you are a diamond or platinum Ultamate Rewards member you will qualify for free shipping on any of the beauty steals.

MAC Select Bullet Lipsticks $10.50, regular price $21.00**: You guys know how much I love MAC so I definitely have swatches if you are interested in some of the shades available. This is a great price for the MAC formula and there is no shortage of praise for these lipsticks and the color range that the brand provides. However, I must admit, it is not one of my favorite formulas. I do end up using my MAC lipsticks a lot because I’m attached to a particular shade, but I do like other formulas better. I’ve only linked swatches of the shades that Ulta has available. Other shades you may find on my site are available at other retailers.
This year’s sale does seem to be a good mix of products that brands may be hoping will introduce new people to what they have to offer. While there aren’t many cult classics this time around, I do think there are a few products that people likely repurchase often. Some that stuck out to me are the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder, the Mario Badescu Facial Spray, the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, and the Benefit Porefessional Primer.
I have done reviews on 2 items that will be on sale in case you are interested and would care to hear my thoughts:
While I’m still disappointed that Bobbi Brown, the actual makeup artist, is no longer affiliated with the brand, I’m happy to say that I haven’t experienced any quality changes with the products. I have a decent amount of Bobbi Brown content, so I’ll be brief and just shout out a few of the products from the brand that I’ve been using lately.

If you are a Sephora VIB Rouge, I would pass on this sale and wait for the VIB Sale that starts on April 1st. The VIB Rouge members will get 20% off during the Sephora sale. Unless of course Macy’s carries a product that is not available at Sephora. Nordstrom is price matching the Macy’s sale (if they carry the same item) so if you prefer Nordstrom, you can also shop through them. Now let’s get into a couple of recommendations.
You know me, I like to give recommendations that I don’t hear a lot of talk about. Today I want to talk about a blush and a highlighter. Liberte is one NARS blush that I rarely hear about anyone using. They did include the shade in the limited edition Afterglow blush palette, so maybe it will start to gain some traction. MAC Lightscapade is a highlighter that used to get a lot of buzz and that has definitely died down. I’d imagine that this particular shade of the mineralize skinfinish line is still popular for those with lighter skin tones.
